I love a good smoothie recipe. This Spiced Pear Smoothie is screaming out fall. Pears are one of my favorite fall fruits and anything with warm cinnamon in it tastes amazing. This is a healthy smoothie for mornings on the go or when you want to have a filling snack. This is one gorgeous and tasty smoothie.
Whenever I make smoothies I always use fruit, Greek yogurt and milk. In this spiced pear smoothie, I added some oats. I have been doing a lot of fall baking lately and had some left over oats I wanted to use up.
For this recipe you will need: 1 pear cored and diced, half of a banana, 1/4 cup oats (I used old fashioned oats), 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, 1/2 cup plain, nonfat Greek yogurt, 3/4 cup milk (any kind), 1 TBS honey and 5-6 ice cubes. Just mix all the ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
