Simple and easy Neutral Fall Decor ideas. You don’t have to have a lot of space or money to have style.
Hello there! Today I am really excited to share my Neutral Fall Decor with y’all. I posted a quick sneak peak on my Instagram last week asking if people would be interested in seeing my decor and the responses I received were all yes. Some things I have learned over the last few years are that one, you don’t have to have a lot of space to decorate, and two, you don’t have to have a lot of money. I have neither but I always find a way to celebrate the seasons and make my house and home.
So, I don’t have a big fancy mantel or fireplace to have a beautiful display or a “special” room in my house to feature just decorations. But, I do have a very old and pretty white chair that was my grandpa’s. I love this chair because I can place it almost anywhere in my home and it has a special sentimental value to it. One of my favorite things is using items that I already have on hand.
I would describe my style as very simple and neutral. My husband always says I would live in an all white house if I could. It’s true but I do love all neutral colors as well. I also enjoy very old vintage pieces like this kitchen scale and milk glass bowl that the chalky paint pumpkin is sitting in. My family and I enjoy going to auctions. It just amazes me the wonderful things I see each week. I have been collecting pieces over the years and hopefully one day I can have my very own farmhouse.
A couple of weeks ago at the auction I picked up two large blue ball mason jars with the old metal lids. The jars I bought are from the 1920’s and 1930’s. Can you image what all has been inside? I decided to place some store bought pine cones in one of the jars. You can use real pine cones, but I recommend making sure there are no bugs inside when you decorate. Also, I bought two very old books that appealed to the neutral fall decor theme. They were just one dollar a piece and I thought that was a terrific deal.
The inspiration that jump started the neutral fall decor are these vintage inspired chalky paint pumpkins I made a few weeks ago. These pumpkins seem to be a big hit. I just love the neutral chalky finish paint colors. They are very muted and subtle. Definitely one of my favorite paint projects.
So, there you have my neutral fall decor. What do you think? Do you have a favorite piece?
I hope I have inspired you to decorate this fall. Remember to have fun and buy the things you love!
