Hello there! Recently, I made a trip to the DecoArt headquarters in Kentucky where we learned all about each product made at the company. One of my favorite paints was Crystal Gloss Enamels Glitter. I just loved the transparent glitter on glass so I thought I would make a holiday craft using the paint. This DIY Glitter Glass Vase Luminary turned out better than I had hoped. All you need is a glass vase, paint, and sponge. Add beautiful twinkle lights for a seasonal luminary to display on your mantel, table, or anywhere in your home.
You can even make a luminary for a party, reception, or any holiday. Just customize with paint color of choice. It is a gorgeous and elegant craft that is super easy to make.

Instructions:
Okay, are you ready for the easiest craft ever?!
One of the tips that the DecoArt team had was to use a makeup sponge to apply paint to glass. This tip is gold and you should remember it and take note. It makes the paint stick without brush marks. I squeezed a small amount of the paint onto a small foam plate. Take a makeup sponge and place the tip into the paint. Dab any excess onto the plate. You don’t want a lot of paint on your sponge. Dab the sponge with the paint onto the glass vase. Move the sponge around to coat the vase. The Crystal Gloss Enamels Glitter paint is translucent. I applied three coats until I was happy with the color. You can play around with the paint to see how little or much you want to apply.
To make the vase a luminary, I placed a string of starry lights inside the vase. I bought the light set from the Target Dollar Spot for $3. You will need to buy batteries separately. I used this same set last year for my Oh Holy Night Twinkle Light Canvas.
Finally, I add fake snow to the bottom of the vase to cover up the battery pack. Then, I scrunched the twinkle lights inside.
This DIY Glitter Glass Vase Luminary is so pretty. The lights add just the right amount of glow and the glitter paint is so sparkly. This is one holiday craft you should try.
