Where did summer go?! I can’t believe it’s already time to start thinking about going back to school. With that also comes meeting the new teacher. Today I have a really easy and inexpensive Alphabet Stamp Set Teacher’s Gift idea. I love to give quick, easy and usable gifts. It just makes life easier.
The inspiration behind this gift came from a tiny alphabet rubber stamp set I picked up at Wal-Mart of all places. Generally my only “alone time” is when I go grocery shopping. I wait for my husband to come home from work to watch our daughter. So, when I’m shopping I like the take my time and browse the clearance and scrapbook aisles. That’s where I found this stamp set for only $1! Most stamp sets are expensive, so I just had to pick this up.
Let’s get started!
MATERIALS:
- Alphabet rubber stamp set
- Glass jar
- Scrapbook paper
- Ink pad
- Twine
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Adhesive Tape
To add some color to this gift, I used a piece of scrapbook paper to cover the lid of the glass jar. Just trace around the outside of the lid with a pencil then cut on the line. Use adhesive tape to secure the paper onto the lid.
I made a gift tag for the jar by using a paper tag punch and cream cardstock paper. I used my own alphabet stamp set and stamped the phrase ‘just for you’ using a black ink pad.
I added a pink heart sticker to the top of the tag and made a hole through the tag and sticker using a paper punch. Then I wrapped some jute twine around the jar and tied the tag.
Just add the stamp set to the jar and your gift is complete!
Hope you have a wonderful school year!

So cute. My kids are older, college and high school, so we don’t do teacher gifts anymore. But I was thinking this would be a cute gift to give crafting friends. Can you tell me where you got your alphabet stamps and the ones in the jar.
