I love this coupon organizer. It is very helpful when it comes time to go shopping. My mother in law showed me how to to make this handy organizer a few years ago and I have been using one ever since. Let me show you how to make one.
First you start with a plain old folder. You can get one at Wal Mart for less than 50 cents. You fold in the two pockets towards the center of the fold.
Then, you fold those two pieces outward toward the back and stick together with adhesive tape.
Then I cut a piece of scrapbook paper to fit the front of the organizer and used a distressing ink pad around the edges.
Next, I cut three smaller pieces of scrapbook paper and used a scalloped punch along one edge of the paper.
I then placed all of the scrapbook paper onto the organizer using adhesive tape.
Now for the embellishments. I placed one piece of ribbon onto the scrapbook paper using adhesive. Next, I added a chalkboard sticker on top of the ribbon and wrote ‘coupons’ on the sticker with a chalk marker.
Then I used a paper punch on the top left corner and tied two pieces of ribbon through the punch.
Finally, on the front of the coupon organizer I placed a cork star sticker on the top right corner and added a push pin.
For the inside I simply added scrapbook paper onto the inside of the folder. Then labeled some envelopes with stickers to help me organize all my coupons. Lastly, I just added some cute shaped paper clips onto the pockets. I place my soon to be expired coupons on the outside of the pockets using the clips so I can easily see them.
This Coupon Organizer is also great around the Holiday season to keep mange your Christmas lists and coupons.
* I will be making a Christmas one later this year.

Oh my gosh this is totally what I need! I use coupons all the time, much to my boyfriend’s dismay when it takes over an hour in the supermarket, but this would makes things so much more organised and quicker. I love it, thanks for the tutorial.

This is such a great idea! I need one of these to organize my coupons. I clip them and half the time I end up leaving them at the house. This would be perfect. π
I would love for you to share this (and any other post!) at my Life of the Party link up! It just opened! Im going to poke around your blog a little more. π

Ohh, pinning this one as I have always wanted to get into couponing. I can remember being shame as a child when my dad would hold up the grocery line with ALL his coupons. Now that I’m older I’m not so shame. Thanks for linking up with us at the TGIF Link Party.
