DIY Felt Ball Earrings – easy and inexpensive jewelry craft that takes just minutes to make. These earrings are so cute and make great gifts too!
When it comes to jewelry, I am definitely an earrings girl. I never leave the house without wearing a pair and they typically are studs. I just like the classic simple look of them. Last month I made a felt ball wreath and thought it was the cutest thing ever, so I decided so make some DIY Felt Ball Earrings for myself and my friends using itsy bitsy felt balls. This craft project is so easy, it would be great for kids to make. I thought these felt ball earrings would make a great gift for Valentine’s Day too!
This time of year I am ready for some bright fun colors. I just love how vibrant this package of rainbow felt balls are. These itsy bitsy felt balls are 1 cm in diameter and just the perfect size for stud earrings.
Supplies: *aff. links
- 1 cm itsy bitsy Rainbow Felt Ball package (50 count) – I bought mine here.
- E6000® Craft Adhesive
- Sterling Silver Earring Post Setting
- Craft Tweezers *optional
Instructions:
Start by adding a small amount of the E6000 craft adhesive to the earring post. This adhesive is my favorite for crafts and especially jewelry making because of its durability.
Using the craft tweezers, place one of the tiny felt balls onto the post with the adhesive. Hold the ball on the post for a couple of minutes until it is secure and has adhered to the earring post. According to the directions on the E6000 craft adhesive, wait 72 hours for the adhesive to completely set before you can wear the earrings. I like using craft tweezers so my fingers don’t get adhesive all over them. They are super helpful when it comes to picking up small supplies and embellishments too.
I just love how cute these DIY Felt Ball Earrings are! I used sterling silver earring posts because I have a sensitivity to nickle. If you don’t have problems with nickel jewelry, feel free to use them instead. They are cheaper than sterling silver.
