Instructions on how to make DIY Floral Bath Bombs:
*The silicone mold I used is only for health and beauty products. I don’t use it to cook.
In a large bowl, combine the sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), citric acid and melted coconut oil. Use your hands or a mesh strainer to remove any clumps. You might want to wear gloves just to protect protect your hands.
Add 1 oz Grapefruit or you favorite Essential Oil which is about 30 drops. Mix until well combined.
Once you have added all of the liquids to the powder mixture, use your hands to fully incorporate all of the ingredients together. Spritz the bath bomb mixture with witch hazel. The mixture should be wet enough that when you squeeze the powder in your palm, it will stick together. The recommended amount of witch hazel is between 7-10 spritzes. I sprayed more than that amount. You just have to check the consistency.
Press the bath fizzy mixture into the silicone mold making sure to press firmly packing the entire mold cavity. Allow the DIY Floral Bath Bombs to set up overnight. Gently pop the bath bombs out of the molds.
Mix together cosmetic powder or Mica powder with a few drops of isopropyl alcohol, use a small brush to paint the the bath bomb. Allow to dry completely. Store in an air-tight container free from water and moisture up to 6 months.
