Hello there!  Today, I am back with another candle recipe.  This time I tried out a wood wick and love the results.  I found a vintage enamel campfire mug at a local antique store and thought it would be the perfect holder for a fall candle.  This DIY Wood Wick Campfire Mug Candle has a cozy vibe that creates a sense of comfort during the dark, winter months.

Lately, I have really been getting into the Danish concept of hygge which is a feeling of comfort, coziness, and well-being.  One of the staples in this lifestyle is candles, so I thought I would start by making a hygge candle.  I have a few hygge craft projects coming up, so stay tuned.

Supplies (affiliate links):

• Black Enamel Campfire Mug (this one is similar)
• Wood Wick
• 3 cups Natural Soy Wax
• Autumn Leaves Fragrance Oil
• Hot Glue Gun
• Pliers

Instructions:

Start by applying hot glue to the metal base and place it on the bottom center of the enamel campfire mug.  Once the hot glue has set, place a wood wick into the metal base.  You may need to trim the wick by using pliers or scissors.  Set aside.

Place 3 cups of natural soy wax flakes into a heat resistant bowl.  Using the double boiler method, melt the wax until completely dissolved into a liquid.  I added 3 ounces of Autumn Leaves fragrance oil to the melted wax.  You can add desired amount of oils. 

Pour the scented liquid candle wax into the prepared campfire mug.  Set aside and let harden.  The candle wax will change to a white color once it is completely set and hardened.
