Hey there! Do you still need to wrap your Christmas presents for next week? Today I am showing you how to make a DIY Yarn Tassel. They are great for packing up your gifts. The tassels are easy to make and are finished in minutes. All you need are a few materials. I don’t know about you but I would LOVE a present with these adorable tassels on them!
Let’s get to it!
MATERIALS:
- Yarn
- Wood beads
- Scissors
- Piece of cardboard (mines 4 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches)
Step 1: Wrap the yarn around the piece of cardboard.
Step 2: Remove the yarn of the piece of cardboard
Step 3: Thread a piece of yarn through one small wood bead. Place the bead through the wrapped yarn and tie a knot at the top.
Step 4: Take another piece of yarn and tie a knot below the wood bead on the outside of the wrapped yarn.
Step 5: Cut one end of the loops of yarn.
Step 6: Trim the ends.
That’s it!
Just add the tassel to your wrapped packages.
I purchased these fun and modern Christmas gift tags from my friend Amy’s Etsy shop. Amy is the blogger behind Delineate Your Dwelling and her Etsy shop has lots of fabulous prints. The tags have a faded gray herringbone background and two different designs.
Hope you enjoy the holidays and make a cute DIY Yarn Tassel!

So sweet! I love the hidden bead. My tassels always turn out a little lackluster, but I’ve never put something inside before. Visiting from the DIY Sunday Showcase!

Thanks for stopping by, Natashalh! The wood bead really does make the tassel look cleaner.
