Hey there! I am so excited to share my Embroidery Hoop Hair Bow holder with you today. I am a huge fan of embroidery hoops. So much so that I have a hoop art board on Pinterest which you can find here. I don’t know how to sew, so I try and come up with new and creative ways to use the hoops. I just love this project and it took no time at all to make and only cost around $7.
I started to buy hair bows the day I found out I was going to have a little girl. My daughter will be 3 in July and we have accumulated TONS of bows. You have to have one in every color to match all the cute girly clothes, right?!
MATERIALS:
- Large embroidery hoop (I used a 18″ hoop)
- Fabric (about 5/8 of a yard)
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Ribbon (I used two different kinds)
First, I started by ironing the fabric. I choose a citrus color seersucker fabric that is bright and fun for my daughter’s room. Then, I placed the fabric onto the inside hoop frame to get the position I needed. Next, I layed three pieces of white ribbon onto the fabric and hot glued the ends down to the fabric. This just holds the ribbon in place and is covered by the hoop. I put both hoop pieces together and trimmed the excess fabric.
To add a little something special to the hoop, I hot glued a white pom pom ribbon along the outside hoop. The ribbon was left over from my summer wreath craft. It’s a nice touch and totally girly.
That’s it. Just add your hair bows by clipping them to the ribbon.

This is unbelievably precious and I’m adding an embroidery hoop to my craft store shopping list now. I have been throwing some ideas around to organize my daughter’s hair bows – I {might} have gone a bit hair-bow-hectic as well. Great idea, as always. PS: found this project from I Should Be Mopping the Floor’s Inspiration Monday.

What an adorable and clever idea! I lovelovelove the pompom trim! And how easy it will be to switch out the fabric to accommodate the bow-wearer’s changing decor or tastes!
It would also be fun to make two smaller ones and assign, say, bows to one and flower clips to the other! There are so many possibilities… I can’t wait to make some for my granddaughters!
Thank you for sharing.: ) xoxo
