Fourth of July Flower Arrangement – an easy to make patriotic red, white and blue decoration and a great summer long floral arrangement.
Hello there! Today I am sharing a super simple Fourth of July Flower Arrangement. I have to tell you, these red, white and blue colors get me every time and I just love the stars and stripes of the American flag. There’s a sense of hope and freedom that rises up in me each time I look at it. This flower arrangement would be perfect for a Fourth of July BBQ, party, picnic and more. I actually made this patriotic arrangement for my mother to display at her house. This arrangement can actually be displayed all summer long!
Man, I am a sucker for flowers. I love the beauty in each and every bloom. For this Fourth of July Flower Arrangement I choose to use a red Petunia. These are great annual summer flowers that require at least six hours of sunlight a day and are very low maintenance. I really love the bright red color of the Petunias. They are so vibrant.
I found this really cute heavy duty flag bucket in the Target dollar spot. I just knew it would be the perfect container for a flower arrangement. This fun little bucket is where the idea for this project came from. I just placed the potted Petunia down inside the flag bucket. Super cute, right?
To complete the flower arrangement, I made a pinwheel which I taped to a wooden skewer and placed inside the flower. I used one piece of 4″x4″ red and white striped scrapbook paper and one piece of 4″x4″ blue and white striped paper. I taped the two pieces of paper using an adhesive tape runner. I placed a metal star push pin through the center of the pinwheel to secure it. To see the full details on how to make a pinwheel, check out my summer pinwheel wreath here.
This star and stripes pinwheel really completes the look of this Fourth of July flower arrangement.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a very Happy Fourth of July!
