Funfetti Cake Batter Waffles – fluffy waffle recipe with a homemade glaze. Such a sweet and fun way to celebrate!
Good morning! For Christmas this year I wanted and received a waffle iron because I have been waiting to make homemade waffles for ever. Since I got it I have been whipping up some fun recipes like this Funfetti Cake Batter Waffles. This recipe was a big hit with my family. The waffles themselves are semi-homemade using a Funfetti box cake mix and other baking ingredients. As if that wasn’t enough sweetness, I made a glaze to drizzle on top of the waffles. This breakfast would be so fun to celebrate birthdays or special occasions. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, what better way to enjoy the sweetest day of the year than with these waffles!
Funfetti is a box white cake mix with rainbow sprinkles and it’s pretty amazing! I made these waffles over the weekend just for fun and my family gobbled them up. This waffle recipe is more of a cake-like consistency since we are using cake mix. You will need 1 box of Funfetti cake mix, all-purpose flour, salt, 1 egg, canola oil, and water. I cooked the waffles according to the instructions with my iron, which is about 4 to 6 minutes. I just love the sweet smell of waffles while they are cooking. This waffle batter should make about 8 waffles.
After the waffles are all done, I made a super simple glaze to pour over them. All you need for the glaze is powdered sugar, milk, and I added sprinkles. You can make the glaze to the consistency that you like. I like mine a bit on the runny side, so I added more milk.
To finish, I added whipped topping and sprinkles to the stack of funfetti cake batter waffles. These waffles are so super good and sweet. This is a fun recipe for a special occasion or if you just want to make an ordinary morning extraordinary.
