Homemade Lavender and Bergamot Candle is an easy to make soy candle scented with relaxing and uplifting fragrant oils. This candle smells like summer and you can download a beautiful label to make for a gift.
Hello there! If you have been following me for awhile, you know that I like to make my own health and beauty products when I can. I have been playing around with different essential oil blends and I think you are going to like this one I am sharing today. This Homemade Lavender and Bergamot Candle has both relaxing and uplifting properties that is perfect for anti-anxiety and stress. This candle is also made with natural soy wax and it smells amazing. I made a printable label that you can download later in this post and use for a gift.
Supplies: (affiliate links)
- Glass Jar – I bought mine at Hobby Lobby
- 4 cups Soy Wax
- Candle Wick
- Lavender Essential Oil
- Bergamot Essential Oil
- Hot Glue Gun
- Free Printable Label
Instructions:
Start by applying hot glue to the metal tab on the candle wick. Place the tab in the bottom center of a glass jar. Wrap the wick around a straw or pencil to hold the wick up straight. I used a paperclip to clamp the wick to the straw. Set aside.
Place 4 cups of natural soy wax flakes into a heat resistant bowl. Using the double boiler method, melt the wax until completely dissolved into a liquid. I added about 2o drops of Lavender and 20 drops of Bergamot essential oils to the melted wax. You can add desired amount of oils. Lavender is calming and is a floral fragrance, while Bergamot is uplifting and a citrus scent. These two essential oils smells great together!
Pour the scented liquid candle wax into the prepared jar. Set aside and let harden. The candle wax will change to a white color once completely set and hardened. Trim the wick by cutting it with a pair of scissors.
I made a pretty printable label for your candle. This would make a great all-occasion gift for someone special. I hope you like it!

What a lovely gift idea. I have a question. What are the crayons mentioned in the direction but not in the ingredient list? This is my first time trying to make a candle and want to do it right! You are so clever, I love your ideas!

Hello! Thanks for stopping by. This Lavender & Bergamont Candle actually doesn’t have crayons in it. Thanks for checking my mistake, I have changed it in the direction. This candle will turn white once it is completely set. I used a red crayon to color my Strawberry Lemonade Candle – https://www.purelykatie.com/2016/07/07/homemade-strawberry-lemonade-candle/
I hope this is helpful!
