Ever since I was a small child, I have always had a hard time falling asleep. I lay on my pillow and toss and turn for hours before finally drifting off. The next day I have to drink what seems like a whole pot of coffee just to function like a normal human being. Enough was enough and I knew I had to do something.
This relaxing lavender pillow spray recipe is another healthy and natural way to improve your sleep quality. Plus, it smells amazing!

Establishing a good bedtime routine with tiny hints that it’s time to wind down and get some shut-eye is important for both kids and adults.
Ways to De-stress Before Bed:

- aromatherapy
Benefits of Using Essential Oil Pillow Spray
Using essential oils at bedtime for aromatherapy help induce sleep, reduce anxiety, and ease depression. Relaxing scents like lavender can send a comforting signal to our over-stimulated brains to prepare for sleep. Other therapeutic benefits of lavender to health includes reducing acne, regulate blood circulation and helps digestion.
I mix sage with lavender and once you smell it you will know why. The scent is so fragrant and lovely. These oils are a marriage made in heaven. Sage essential oil is used for respiratory issues, menstrual pain, bacterial and fungal infections, skin conditions, digestive issues, stress, and fatigue.

How To Make A Pillow Spray For A Peaceful Sleep
Step 1: Prepare and sterilize your glass mist bottle. Apply an all-purpose cleaner to a rag/sponge/paper towel to clean both the inside and outside of the dispenser. I have a great 3 ingredient all-purpose cleaner recipe that works great!
Step 2: Pour 1/4 cup witch hazel into a 8 oz glass mist bottle. Add 20 drops of lavender essential oil and 10 drops of sage and shake well. Fill the remainder of the bottle with 1 cup distilled water and shake again.
A small funnel is very helpful when pouring into small bottles. Plus, they can be sterilized and used again.
Step 3: Spritz a couple pumps of the pillow spray onto your pillow before bedtime. Shake the bottle before using again because the oil will separate and settle.
This pillow spray diy uses witch hazel to disperse the essential oils. The witch hazel evaporates quickly to avoid damaging or staining fabrics.
I’ve been using this homemade pillow spray for several months and have noticed that I’m sleeping more deeply and feel more rested in the mornings.
Set a goal to make a sleep routine for you and your family. Also, spritz some of the best pillow spray on your pillow and even bed linens and you are bound to have a peaceful sleep.
I have made a cute pillow spray label that you can print and tape to your bottle for easy use. Use a pair of scissors to cut out the labels. Make one for you and for your friends.
