Recently I found some cute fruit molds in the dollar spot at Target.  The molds are actually for popsicles but I wanted to make a fun soap recipe instead.  I can not believe how adorable this Melt and Pour Fruit Soap turned out!  They were so easy to make and I love the shimmery mica powders.  I scented the soap base with lime essential oils, making them perfect for summer!

For the Pink Soap Base: Cut 2 cups clear glycerin soap base into cubes. Place the cubes into a 2-cup Pyrex measuring cup, and melt in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring well after each. When the soap is completely melted, add 10 drops of lime essential oil and pink watermelon mica powder (as much as needed to achieve the desired color). Pour the pink soap into mold, filling it 2/3 of the way.
 
 
Spray the liquid soap with a spray bottle that has isopropyl alcohol in it.  This will eliminate any bubbles in the soap.  Set aside and allow the pink soap base to firm completely.
 

In two separate small cups, mix together cosmetic powder or mica powder (colors: Tail Green and Black Shimmer) with a few drops of isopropyl alcohol.  Paint the rinds and leaves with the green powder and use the black powder to paint the seeds.  I found that using Q-tips to paint on the powders was the easiest method.  Allow to dry completely.
