Melt and Pour Fruit Soap is an easy to make soap recipe using fun fruit molds and shimmering mica powder. It’s a quick and simple homemade gift idea that smells delicious!
Recently I found some cute fruit molds in the dollar spot at Target. The molds are actually for popsicles but I wanted to make a fun soap recipe instead. I can not believe how adorable this Melt and Pour Fruit Soap turned out! They were so easy to make and I love the shimmery mica powders. I scented the soap base with lime essential oils, making them perfect for summer!
Supplies (affiliate links):
- Clear Glycerin Soap Base
- Lime Essential Oil
- Mica Pigment Powder in Pink Watermelon, Tail Green, and Black Shimmer
- Spray Bottle
- Isopropyl Alcohol
- Fruit Soap Mold (Target)
- Pyrex Measuring Cup
Instructions:
In two separate small cups, mix together cosmetic powder or mica powder (colors: Tail Green and Black Shimmer) with a few drops of isopropyl alcohol. Paint the rinds and leaves with the green powder and use the black powder to paint the seeds. I found that using Q-tips to paint on the powders was the easiest method. Allow to dry completely.
