Since the beginning of July I have had a hard time getting motivated to eat healthy. Exercise is not the problem. I can do that just fine, but it the eating part that gives me trouble. I am always hungry it seems. And I don’t just reach for an apple or a carrot stick…it’s usually something sweet. I have a love-hate relationship with chocolate and ice cream. I can just look at those sweet treats and gain 5 pounds. Well, I’m DONE!!! I have to do better. I just have to bottom line. Food is fuel for my body so I can exercise better. So, I am coming up with a plan for the week.
My exercise this week looks like this:
Monday: Run 2-3 miles
Tuesday: Cross train for 30 minutes (Biggest Loser Power Sculpt DVD)
Wednesday: Run 2-3 miles with a friend (I’m super excited about running with someone. This will be the second time doing it.)
Thursday: Cross train for 30 minutes (30 Day Shred DVD)
Friday: Run 2-3 miles Saturday: REST Sunday: Run 3-4 miles
Meal planning is hard! I am still working on it, but there isn’t any junk food in the house i.e. cookies, cake and chocolate.
Monday: Grilled chicken breast with veggies
Tuesday: Lean ground beef tacos
Wednesday: Pork chops and roasted potatoes
Thursday: Italian night at church group
Friday: Family is in town (eating out)
Saturday: Family is in town (eating out)
Sunday: Leftovers
I really need to make a consensus effort when eating out. And NO snacking on junk!! Here’shoping to a good week!
How do you stay motivated? What are you favorite healthy meals?
