Paprika Chili Pepper Salt – a great seasoning salt recipe for grilling, rubs, marinades, popcorn, and more. This salt gives a nice kick of spice with just two ingredients.
Hello there! Today I am sharing how to make Paprika Chili Pepper Salt. Summer is almost here and this easy to make seasoning salt will come in handy. This two ingredient salt recipe is great for rubbing on steaks, chicken, pork chops, and more. It can also be sprinkled on homemade popcorn for a spicy heat flavor. I love the paprika chili pepper because it is mild in spice and not overpowering.
I just love this time of year because my husband pulls the grill out of the garage and fires it up. We tend to grill almost every night of the week in the summer. It’s faster, I don’t have to heat the oven and get the house hot, and the food just tastes so much better. I will be using this paprika chili pepper salt on lots of cuts of meats this summer. This seasoning salt is guaranteed to add tons of flavor and a mild heat to anything you put it on. I also like to make homemade taco seasoning.
Just a little back story behind that salt sack in the picture above. I was antique shopping with my parents in Kentucky a couple months ago and came across a stack of these white salt bags. The company that made these bags was out of Syracuse New York and produced salt from the late 18th century through the early 20th century. This is a 4 lb bag which once contained salt for delivery. I knew I had a seasoning salt recipe planned and I just had to buy one of the bags. I just love amazing history and old artifacts. It also makes for a great photography.

Do you have any tips for drying peppers? I have a large bag of fresh organic peppers, but no idea how to dry them myself to make the salt (which looks super delicious!)

Hey Krissy! I have not dried my own peppers. I just googled a website that might help: http://www.chilipeppermadness.com/preserve-chili-peppers-drying.html
Let me know the outcome! I would love to try and dry my own peppers too.
Have a great weekend! xo
