Peaches And Cream Overnight Oats is a simple and easy make-ahead breakfast recipe and is made with just a few healthy ingredients.
This time of year is when things start to get very busy around my house. My daughter just started second grade and we are in the process of selling and buying a new home. One thing that I do to cut down on time is making breakfast the night before. You can prepare four days worth of overnight oats for breakfast in just five minutes. This Peaches And Cream Overnight Oats is such a simple recipe made with just a few ingredients. Peaches are in season now and they are definitely the star of this recipe.
For this overnight oatmeal recipe I use old fashion rolled oats. My favorite brand to use is Bob’s Red Mill because they have the best taste to me. Each jar of overnight oats is made with just 1/4 cup of old fashion rolled oats. This is plenty of oats to keep you full and provides nutrients while not overloading on a lot carbohydrates.
Peaches are in season right now and they are my favorite stone fruit. I have always loved peaches and try to incorporate them into recipes whenever I can. They are so sweet and juicy and I seriously can’t get enough of them. Each overnight oats jar is made with half of a peach that is chopped into bite size pieces.
Two other ingredients in this Peaches and Cream Overnight Oats are unsweetened almond and vanilla greek yogurt. I use Oikos Triple Zero vanilla yogurt because it is the lowest in carbs and sugars. This yogurt also provides enough sweetness that no added sugar is needed. I like to sprinkle ground cinnamon for a nice warm flavor and it pairs well with the peaches.
Overnight oats are made and stored in glass jars so they stay fresher longer. My favorite jars to use are Weck 1/2 liter jars. They have glass lids and stack nicely on top of one another. You can eat your oats cold straight from the refrigerator or heat them up in the microwave. Either way you fix it, it tastes delicious!
