Peanut Butter Snap Dog Treats – homemade dog treats made with simple all natural ingredients that your furry friend will be sure to love!
Hello there! If you don’t know, I have two female beagle mixes who are my furry babies. My husband and I have had them since they were puppies and they are very much a part of our family. Montana (10) and Penny (7) love treats, but they can get expensive. Not to mention all the weird ingredients a lot of the store-bought treats contain. So, today I am sharing a recipe for Peanut Butter Snap Dog Treats. My homemade treats are made with just a few simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand at home. This is a big batch dough recipe that you roll out and cut into shapes. These dog treats are tested and approved by my dogs.
The Peanut Butter Snap Dog Treats dough is made using peanut butter, honey, coconut oil, chicken broth, steel cut oats, whole wheat flour, and salt. Like I mentioned earlier, you probably have most of these ingredients in your pantry already. I added all of the ingredients into a large stand mixer and just let it do the mixing for me. The ingredients come together quickly and you are ready to roll the dough out.
You want to roll the dough out approximately 1/4 inch thick on a lightly floured surface. I used a (affiliate link) 2 inch, dog bone cookie cutter and this is great for small to medium size dogs. I was able to cut out 100 + treats using that cutter. If you have a large dog, you might want to use a larger cookie cutter and you can use any desired shape cutter. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 15 to 18 minutes. These treats will keep up to 60 days or more if refrigerated.
