Hello there! Today, I am super excited to share my first ever craft cake. This Scrapbook Cake Party Decor is made with cake forms and scrapbook paper. There is always someone or something to celebrate and I thought making a scrapbooking cake would be pretty awesome for parties. You can display the cake and add personal photos just like you would in a scrapbook. This is such a fun memory keeping memento.

Instructions:
I started by carefully measuring double-sided pattern scrapbook paper to be placed on the tops and sides of both cake forms. I made two of the sides slightly wider and folded the paper to fit nicely around the corner. I also folded the sides of the top down. I am using my favorite scrapbook paper collection BLOOM.
Once I had all the pieces of scrapbook paper cut, I applied decou-page in a matte finish to both the cake form and the back of the scrapbook paper. Gently press the paper onto the cake form. Apply another layer of decou-page on top of the scrapbook paper and let dry completely.
I added a mint pom pom ribbon to the bottom of both cake forms using a low-temp hot glue gun. I like the color and texture the ribbon gives to the cake and who doesn’t love pom pom?!
I bought these pre-made paper flowers from the dollar spot at Target. The colors are perfect and they make my life easier because they are already made. The larger flowers have a sticker on the back and I just popped them on top of the cake. I had to hot glue the smaller flowers onto the cake. They add a nice pop of color and another layer of dimension.
I made a topper for the cake by using chipboard stickers from the same scrapbook collection, BLOOM. There were stickers that spelled out the word bloom and I used those. I painted toothpicks using gold multi-surface paint and hot glued the stickers to the toothpicks.
I placed the letters on top of the cake in between the paper flowers. Finally, I added a small gold glitter heart chipboard sticker.
This Scrapbook Cake Party Decor is all about the details. Each embellishment has its own purpose. You can leave the cake as is or add photos of the special person or event you are celebrating. You can also make this cake for your craft room like me.
