I can’t believe it’s almost Thanksgiving! There’s just a few weeks left until turkey day. I’m making life a little bit easier with my Slow Cooker Thanksgiving Dressing. This recipe is what I grew up with. My grandma made it then my mom and now me. If you like super moist dressing you will want to make this recipe for Thanksgiving this year!
Whether you call it stuffing or dressing this is the perfect side dish next to your turkey for Thanksgiving. It’s made with bread crumbs, vegetables and spices. Not only is this dressing easy to make, it also saves space in the oven.
You will need:
14-15 cups of bread crumbs. I cut a whole loaf of Italian bread into one inche cubes and let dry out over night. 3 cups chopped celery , 1 1/2 cups chopped white onion, 1 1/2 teaspoons dried sage, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 2-4 cans chicken broth, homemade or store bought, 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter. Combine all the ingredients into a large slow cooker and cook on low 4-5 hours.
