Easily create a Summer Double Hoop Floral Wreath to decorate all season long. This gold hoop wreath is made with realistic faux flowers and without hot glue. In just a few easy steps you will have a gorgeous wreath.
Since Memorial has come and gone, it’s the unofficial start of summer. I finally got around to making a summer floral wreath and wanted to share the tutorial on how you can make your own. I wanted to make a wreath that was a bit modern but classic at the same time, so I used two gold hoops and artificial flowers to last all summer.
Supplies (affiliate links):
- 12 inch gold hoop
- 10 inch gold hoop
- Flowers and greenery
- Wire cutters
- Floral wire
- Floral tape
- Green floral foam
Instructions on how to make a Summer Double Hoop Floral Wreath:
I started by cutting some greenery leaves and floral fillers using a pair of wire cutters. If you don’t have a pair of wire cutters I highly recommend them. I use them all the time and not just for wire flowers. You can get greenery at your local craft store. Just look for something that you like. Different colors and textures really make the wreath look more realistic.
I like to arrange the greenery on the hoop before I start putting the wreath together. This way I can see what looks good and what might not work. Once I am happy with the placement, I use green floral tape wire to tape the two hoops together and secure the stems to the hoops.
I cut a piece of the green floral foam and shaped it to fit onto the hoops and then used wire to secure it to the hoops. Next, I cut the flowers off of their stems and poked them into the foam. You want to arrange the flowers so the foam is not visible.
I am using a faux floral peach cabbage rose bundle from Magnolia. These flowers are so realistic to the touch and appearance. I am so happy with this purchase.
How you hang your wreath is up to you. You can use twine, ribbon, or clear command hooks to display your Summer Double Hoop Floral Wreath.
