Now that it’s starting to get cold and my daughter and I can’t get outside to play as much, I wanted us to make a easy sweet treat for us to enjoy together. My 2 year old LOVES marshmallows and who doesn’t love chocolate? We had a lot of fun making these pops!
Its hard finding activities to keep toddlers busy! That is why this dessert snack is so fun and easy at the same time. It’s a win win really. If you have any activity suggestions, please shoot them my way.
- 1 12 oz bag semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 bag of regular size marshmallows
- Wilton’s leaf sprinkles
- Plastic lollipop sticks
- Non-stick cooking spray
- Over a double boiler heat the chocolate chips until smooth.
- Dip the marshmallows into the chocolate.
- Roll into sprinkles.
- Set aside to dry.
Start by boiling water on the stove in a medium to large pot. Once the water is boiling turn the heat down to a simmer. In a medium bowl spray non-stick cooking spray and add the bag of chocolate chips. Use a rubber spatula to stir the chips until completely melted and smooth.
After the chocolate is melted remove from the stove. Dip your marshmallows that already have the plastic lollipop sticks inserted into the chocolate. You can cover as much as the marshmallows as you like.
Sprinkle the chocolate dipped marshmallows with sprinkles. I love the Wilton’s leaf sprinkles. They are perfect for Fall and Thanksgiving.
Place the pops onto a piece of aluminum foil that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Try to leave the pops alone until they are dry. This is easier said then done!
These pop will be great to have a Thanksgiving dinner for the kiddos. Not everyone loves pumpkin pie so why not have something sweet at the table with these pops.
They would also be great at a school or work party!
Hope you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Love this.Im doing it for my kids school. Do I have to put chocolate on the stick in order for the marshmallow to stick or it will stick on its own.thank u!
The Casual Craftlete says
Nope! Just put the marshmallow in the stick first, then dip into the chocolate. I had no problems with the marshmallows coming off the sticks. Thanks for stopping by, Karla!
