Hey there! Happy Monday!
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. We had a low key weekend and just caught up on projects around the house. Today, I am sharing something a little different. I was invited to be a part of TOURING THROUGH BLOGLAND. The reason for this tour is to get to know me a little better and also to find other great bloggers out there.
I was invited by the pretty and talented Aniko from Place of my Taste.
Aniko is crazy talented and such a charming person. Even though we have never meant in person, I cherish our online friendship and hope to meet her someday! She is full of life and color, which shows through in the projects she creates. I am honored to be a monthly contributor on Place of my Taste.
NOW ON TO THE QUESTIONS
WHAT AM I WORKING ON?
Since August is here, I have been working on a few back to school projects. I’m not going to lie, I get really excited for this time of year. Fall is my absolute favorite season and I love everything about it. I have lots of upcoming posts planned that are related to fall entertaining. I can’t wait to share them with you all. Something that I try to do is create one craft/diy project and one recipe per week.

HOW DOES MY WORK DIFFER FROM OTHERS IN MY GENRE?
Hmm…good question! I like really simple, small and clean looking projects. Since I spend most of my days chasing around our three year old daughter and working part time at my friend’s pie shop, that doesn’t leave me much time to do extravagant projects. And, honestly, that’s not something that I like to do anyway. One of my favorite things is to take something old and vintage and put a modern twist on it. It’s hard to create something that hasn’t already been done before so I like to look at things in a different perspective.

WHY DO I CREATE/WRITE WHAT I DO?
I started my blog at the end of June 2013. I had just turned 30 and my daughter was about to turn two. I have always had my friends and family members ask me for my recipes or how I created some cute craft. I prayed about it and thought I would start a blog and share my ideas with the entire world. I am not much of a writer. In fact, I have my husband proof read all my posts because my spelling and grammar isn’t that great. I love to create and pretty things and one of my gifts is to give to others. I love sharing handmade gifts and recipes to the people I love.

HOW DOES MY CREATIVE/WRITING PROCESS WORK?
I am addicted to Pinterest! I spend lots of time looking at diy and craft projects trying to brainstorm and see if I can come up with something new. I also use Pinterest as a tool for my photography. I like to study the composition and layouts from other fabulous bloggers. I am a planner! I like to have a set schedule and plan things in advance. Right now I am planning posts into the end of October and try to have my posts written up at least a week before I publish them. Ideally I would like to be two weeks ahead of schedule. Sometimes the schedule gets moved around or changed if I have a project fail. That’s why I like to be prepared in case of a blog emergency. Also, I am a contributor for four other blogs and need to be aware of what’s due for which blog and also what is going on on my blog.
THAT’S IT FOR ME!
LET ME INTRODUCE:
Carrie from Carrie This Home
Carrie will share her questions next Monday, August 25.
I’m Carrie from Carrie This Home and I don‘t have it all together. A little bit of coffee and a LOT of Jesus helps me get through the day.
Most days you’ll find me playing games with my daughter, constantly wishing my son could stay two forever, spending too much time on Pinterest, and racking my brain trying to think of what to eat for dinner tonight.
I love to share inspiration with my readers that make life a little easier. Some of my favorite inspirations to share are easy DIY projects, ideas that make life easier, and easy recipes {since I’m a self-proclaimed lazy cook}.
Since I’m far from perfect I also share stories of my life and struggles. I love to encourage others to find strength in Jesus. There is no way I would have made it through some days without the love and encouragement from my God.
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!

Ha….I wish I would be that planner person! LOL…I am playing with FIRE all the time and I am sure I will be burned one day:-( Maybe I should be slow down and take some things off of me so I could have time to plan and schedule in advance. Loved learning more about you, Katie! Hope you have a wonderful week!XO
