A few years ago I made this Tropical Detox Smoothie and thought I would make a smoothie bowl. I love tropical fruits but the rest of my family isn’t so keen on the them, so this Tropical Smoothie Bowl with Mango, Pineapple, and Kiwi recipe is perfect for me to make just for myself. The recipe makes one giant bowl or you could easily double the recipe for two smoothie bowls. This will be perfect for enjoying on warm summer days.
This tropical smoothie bowl recipe is so simple and easy to make. I start the night before by cutting one whole banana into 1/2 inch round circles and place them into a ziploc bag and freeze over night. The next morning, I add the banana, mango, pineapple, honey, and coconut milk into a high speed blender and blend until smooth. You can adjust the amount of milk you use to your preference of thickness. I like to top this Tropical Smoothie Bowl with Mango, Pineapple, and Kiwi with unsweetened toasted coconut flakes and sliced kiwi. You could add your favorite fruit, nuts, and seeds to the top of the smoothie.
- 1 banana, frozen
- 1 cup frozen mango
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- 1/2 to 1 cup coconut milk or milk of your choice
- drizzle of honey
- Top with unsweetened toasted coconut flakes and sliced kiwi or your favorite smoothie toppings.
- Place all ingredients expect the topping into a large high speed blender. Blend until smooth. The mixture should be thick.
- Pour into a bowl and add toppings.
