Valentine Gift Bags are great for gift cards! Decorate brown kraft bags with Valentine embellishments for a simple and cute gift.
Hello there! I can’t believe how soon Valentine’s Day will be here. This year I decided to wait until the last minute on buying my daughter’s preschool teachers a gift. I generally just buy Target gift cards because everyone loves Target and gift cards, right?! To make the gift cards extra special I made a couple Valentine Gift Bags that are so adorable! Let me show you how easy they are to make.
Supplies: *aff. links
- White Polka Dot Kraft Bags
- Red Glitter Cardstock
- Red and White Baker’s Twine
- White Paper Doilies
- Adhesive Tape Runner
- Small Circle Hand Punch
- Scissors
- Heart and Lip cut file or you can use a stencil *both are on sale for $0.75
- Electronic Cutting Machine
Instructions:
I started by purchasing the heart and lip cut files from the Silhouette Store. I opened both files on the same sheet and sized both images to three inches to fit on the brown kraft bags. I needed four images total and cut them out on red glitter cardstock. If you don’t have a Silhouette you can always use a stencil or stickers.
Once the images where cut out, I used an adhesive tape runner to adhere the hearts and lips to the paper bags.
Next, I used a small hole punch to punch two holes on the top flap of the bags. Then I cut a piece of red and white baker’s twine and tied a bow through the hole punches.
I added a small white paper doilie to the bags that have the lips on them. I folded the doily in half then used the tape runner to adhere it to the top of the bag. Then, I used the hole punch and twine.
Sometimes the simplest craft projects turn out to be the best. I just love these Valentine Gift Bags and they are the perfect size for a gift card and small piece of chocolate.
