Welcome to the last week of the Workout This Fall Challenge! I was so excited when my friend, Tara, from Mommy Head Adventures asked me to team up with her to bring you a safe, fun place to come link up your goals and find some new accountability friends. The challenge was simple. We committed to work out 3-4 times a week during the months of October, November and December and challenge ourselves with new goals so that we could stay away from those extra holiday pounds. With extra Halloween candy, Thanksgiving turkey and Christmas parties, it was our hope that we helped you to avoid the bulge and keep the number down on the scale.
RECAP OF THIS CHALLENGE
The Results: My started weight was 176.2. I am happy to say I have lost 7 pounds and now weigh 169.2. I feel stronger, fitter and I have more energy. I have increased my miles in running and have developed more endurance that what I thought I could.
The Goal: The goal of this challenge was to work out 3-4 days per week. I am actually happy to say I stuck to that goal. If it wasn’t for the challenge keeping me accountable, I don’t know if I could have done it.
The Schedule: I am continuing on with my half marathon training. The plan that I am following has me running 4 days per week and cross training 2 days with a day of rest. My half is scheduled for February 8th. Wish me luck!
The Scale:
* This challenge has inspired me to continue with my weight loss journey. I will be posting a Weekly Weigh In complete with the scale every Wednesday. I would love for you to follow along and help keep me accountable. And who knows maybe Tara and I will have a new challenge after the holidays! *wink wink
I just want to say THANK YOU to Tara! Not only is she a good friend and running buddy, she is encouraging and uplifting. Her kind words and sheer determination to working out and getting healthy is what got me through this challenge. I am so grateful to have her in my life.
And THANK YOU to all of you who have read this challenge for 12 weeks. I hope we were able to inspire you to get healthy and active. I know it’s not easy on your own. That’s why it is so great to have a community of people who push you, encourage you and fail right along with you. If you have any questions or thoughts please feel free to message me.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND GOD BLESS!!!
