Welcome to the sixth week of the Workout This Fall Challenge! I can’t believe we have completed one month already! That went by real quick. I am so excited to be teaming up with my friend, Tara, from Mommy Head Adventures to bring you a safe, fun place to come link up your goals and find some new accountability friends.
How this challenge works is simple. You commit to workout 3-4 times a week during the months of October, November and December and challenge yourself with new goals so that you can stay away from those extra holiday pounds. With extra Halloween candy, Thanksgiving turkey and Christmas parties, it is our hope that we can help you to avoid the bulge and keep the number down on the scale.
So every Wednesday at 8pm CST, the link will go live and will stay open until the next Tuesday morning. That way you can feel safe to add your posts, comments, etc. whenever you have time. Share your progress photos on Instagram using the hashtag #workoutthisfall where you will find us sharing our watch pictures, Nike Plus app photos and various other exercise ventures. You can also follow us for encouragement as well at mommyhead7 and thecasualcraftlete.

The Results:
My goal last week was to write everything down in My Fitness Pal. FAIL! I didn’t even start writing things down until Saturday and even after then I only wrote about 75% of the food I ate.
The Goal:
My goal for the coming week is to continue write everything down in My Fitness Pal again. I am also going to try and not eat any chocolate! That’s major for me since I eat chocolate multiple times a day.
The Schedule:
I’ve decided to write my schedule from today (Wednesday) through next Tuesday. It will make things a bit easier for me since I post the challenge on Wednesdays.
- Wednesday: Strength Training with the Biggest Loser Power Sculpt DVD
- Thursday: Run 4 miles
- Friday: Run 6 miles
- Saturday: REST
- Sunday: Run 3 miles
- Monday: Run 4 miles
- Tuesday: Strength Training with the Biggest Loser Power Sculpt DVD
*In addition to my schedule I will be add in Tara’s Extra 30 November Challenge. Have you been joining along? I was really sore the first three days of doing this challenge but I can totally tell a difference. It’s working!
The Scale:
Here is a look at what the scale showed this morning for my weekly weigh in.
FINALLY! I am down 3.4 pounds this week. Increasing my running miles and decreasing my calorie intake seems to have paid off. Now if I can just keep going. * I would like to lose 5 more pounds this month.

Great job on the loss and for setting a goal. I am hoping to make My Fitness Pal more of a habit.
I was up this week but then started my monthly this afternoon so I’m thinking that is why. It sure explains why I’ve been so bloated.
